Okay, Mr. Dombrowski. I gave you credit on the Granderson trade. You traded awayDetroit’s most popular athlete, but you did so to get younger and cut payroll. It made a lot of sense. Until now.
If you’re going to cut payroll by trading away Granderson and Jackson, why in the world would you sign Jose Valverde to a 2 year, $14 million contract? I understand the Tigers needed a closer, but this isn’t the right way to go about it.
Hopefully, you have a plan that I’m just not seeing. At this point, I’m a bit skeptical. Please prove me wrong.
